They are terrible!!!!!! they sold half the company to someone else who are as ignorant as they are, What that means is that they have half our account and someone else has the other half????? we have to send a payment to both companies and still get calls even though they are not late...... They have been trying to fix this company wide problem for a very long time now much just cant seem to manage!!!!! I hate this company, they are a joke. I am thinking about just telling them to keep there loan and never pay them anouther dime. Im so pissed i would rather have bad credit a few years than deal with this $%$ anymore. They are Morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! posted Mar 11th, 2010 1:27 pm

Nelnet has failed to send me any paper bills or statements after my asking on 3 separate occasions. I get nothing from them, I just get online every month and throw money at them. When i first got out of school and called nelnet to check into consolidation, they told me they had recently closed their consolidation department. I have several small loans with different rates. I would advise to find a better company. posted Feb 7th, 2010 12:41 am

Nelnet is a horrible company. All banks would do well to find another company to manage their student loan accounts. I am a co-signer and ultimately responsible for payments and I find that Nelnet agents are rude and authoritarian. Nelnet communicates very poorly with co-signers resulting in unnecessary payment problems. Nelnet communicates extremely well with the credit reporting agencies to ruin credit scores even when small balances are due. I believe that Nelnet chooses to create problems whenever possible because reasonable communication can prevent them

I've had a completely positive experience with Nelnet. After graduation they helped me consolidate what was a mess of student loans and establish a reasonable payment to one source. posted May 19th, 2009 3:35 pm
