National Holistic Institute

BACKGROUND

The National Holistic Institute is an entire college devoted to teaching the art of massage therapy. The National Holistic Institute or NHI claims to be one for the most respected massage therapy schools in the entire world. NHI was founded in 1979 and is noted as the first massage school in the state of California to become nationally accredited. NHI is accredited currently by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training. There are five convenient campus locations to choose from, but all of them are located within the state of California.

The massage therapist curriculum includes a total of 720 hours of training. Students can choose to attend classes in the mornings, evenings or a combination of evenings and weekends. Along with having such a well respected massage therapy program, NHI offers students lifetime career assistance and training for students while they are still in school. NHI has taken a field that is rapidly growing and built a solid program around that.

NHI has also taken on the mission of sticking with what they know. Although the National Holistic Institute has been around for 30 years, they have not branched into other areas of education. NHI is still simply teaching students how to make a living giving great quality massages.

The highlight of NHI is not student organizations or social clubs. There is no mention of athletic events or other activities because NHI is not a traditional college. NHI does offer some student services that are available to make their educational experience a bit easier. There are currently services in place to help students find jobs after completing their diploma.

Financial aid help, job placement assistance and hands-on training are just a few of the many advantages that would make the school attractive to potential students.

CONCLUSION

If you are at all interested in working in the field of massage therapy, the National Holistic Institute would be a great place to get your training. Currently there are locations only in California. NHI has taken the knowledge they want to share with students and perfected it. Students can attend classes knowing that they are getting quality training and that they are going to a school that is only specializing on one area. If you have the desire to work in the massage therapy school, look into the National Holistic Institute.
