Grant Consultants

BACKGROUND
Grant Consultants first appeared through television advertisements during the 80s.  They were highly successful selling books that directed people toward little-known government grant resources that the entrepreneur or average citizen could utilize.

Because grant perimeters often change, these books have to be updated every few years. In an effort to continue with their highly-profitable venture, they now have a presence online.

Grant Consultants provides literature only, in the form of a CD if you prefer. They are not truly a consulting service, rather they provide a general listing of the types of grants that exist in numerous categories. Often omitted from the materials are the exact qualifications required for those who apply for said grants. It is up to the consumer to research more fully. Because of this, the books and CDs have declined in popularity.

Grant Consulting is a legitimate business. A qualified Grant Consultant has both government and private requirements at his/her disposal. Therefore, they are fully qualified to direct the consumer toward programs that they might actually be entitled to.

PRO
- Easily obtained materials concerning government grants in general
- Moderate price tag
- Access to free money
.
CON
- Incomplete outline concerning grant recipient requirements
- Sometimes contains outdated information and materials

EXPENSE
Currently the CD or book retails for around $60.

COLLEGE GRANTS
College funds listed in this resource vary and have strict requirements. General grant information for FAFSA (Federal Aid) can be obtained from almost any institute of higher learning or through the government website of the same name. Either can provide an application.

CONCLUSION
There are many resources available to assist students when seeking financial assistance. Schools have information concerning government grants, and often, when a student needs additional funds, seeking resources from private sources is preferable.

COMMON MISSPELLINGS
grant consulting, grant consults, grent consultants
