How she trains: Katie spends around eight hours every day training or studying her sport. She combines running, weights, and stretching every day. Before she goes to bed, she often studies past races and new race courses to stay on top of her game.

How she manages it all: Katie is currently enrolled at Colorado Mountain College and is the only female competitor in her event. Katie attributes her ability to cope with all of her stress by eating healthy and exercising.

“I’m completely focused on training,” Katie said. “I did everything I could to know that when I walk into the Olympic stadium, I feel prepared.”

Fun Fact: Although Katie is currently studying science, after school she wants to be a producer or a writer.  She wants to “writing and photographic skills in a creative way.”
