TextbookPricing.com Compares Textbook Prices Across the Web

As a college student, I truly understand why the beginning of the semester strikes fear into the hearts of many. It’s not the thought of getting up for that 8:00 a.m. class, or stressing over essays and exams. No, the worst part of the beginning of the semester is buying your books.textbook pricing

It is common knowledge that textbooks are expensive. Some can cost more than $200 when they are brand new. No matter how you try to spin it, the fact is that it really sucks when a grand portion of your summer paychecks go straight to paying for your Zoology 101 textbook.

So, how can you find the best, cheapest textbooks out there? You could drive to every textbook store in your town. You could make a spreadsheet and compare all of the different online rental companies. Or you could take the easy way out and use Textbook Pricing.

Textbook Pricing is a new website that eliminates finding a textbook from your list of beginning-of-the-semester stressors. Textbook Pricing is basically a shopping search engine that compares used, new, and rental prices for books from many popular textbook websites. Some of the websites that are compared include Half.com, Amazon.com, and CampusBookRental.com.

I am looking for an obscure marketing book that I need for one of my classes this semester, so instead of hiking to all the stores in town and spending time surfing the web, I typed my book into Textbook Pricing. In a few seconds, I found the cheapest new, used, and rental books on the Internet. I ended up buying my book for $11.50 from Half.com, which is a really good price for my book. Plus, it was just really easy.

I have always been an advocate for renting your textbooks or buying from a local bookstore. However, this might be my new textbook-purchasing method of choice. Check-out TextbookPricing.com for yourself and see how much money…and time…you can save!
