Community College Drama Professor Accused of Voyeurism

green river communityA drama professor at Green River Community College has been accused of committing voyeurism with a female student. Last week, a probable-caused document was filed against drama professor Gary K. Taylor. The document claims that Taylor hid a camera in a women’s dressing room, in order to record a college student as she changed her clothes.

Taylor lured the student into the dressing room by asking her to participate in an interview for the school newspaper about an upcoming school play. The student agreed to be interviewed, and Taylor asked her to step into the dressing room to change into a dress for the interview.

According to the document, the student noticed a camera in the dressing room while she was changing clothes. The camera was hidden between two pillows that were sitting in the dressing room. The camera had been aimed at her, catching naked images of the student while she had been in the dressing room.

The student immediately reported the incident to the college’s main office and waited for the police to arrive. The student watched the video while she waiting and saw that – in addition to the photos of herself – the video also showed Taylor placing the camera in the dressing room.

Taylor appeared before court on October 1, 2010. He was released on his personal recognizance and has been instructed to not contact the student.
