Actress Teri HatcherTeri Hatcher is an American actress, perhaps best known for her role as Susan Mayer in ABC’s television series Desperate Housewives. She starred in several other television shows, including The Love Boat, MacGyver, and Lois & Clark: The New Adventurers of Superman.

Hatcher was born on December 8, 1964 in Palo Alto, California. Her parents are Owen W. and Ester Hatcher. Teri attended Mango Junior High (now Sunnvale Middle School) and Fremont High School in Sunnyvale. She also took ballet classes at the San Juan School of Dance in Los Altos.

Hatcher attended De Anza College in Cupertino, where she studied mathematics and engineering as an undergraduate. She also studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater.

Hatcher won the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Golden Globe for her role in Desperate Housewives in 2005. She also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for the same category. In 2006 Hatcher became one of the highest paid television actresses in the United States. She reportedly earns $285,000 per episode.
