Naomi Rockler-Gladen, Ph.D., is a former communication professor with 14 years of college and university teaching experience. Most recently, she worked at Colorado State University, where she taught classes in media studies. Although she loved working with students, she became burned out with teaching, and got really sick of writing academic mumbo jumbo that no one reads. Now, she’s an educational freelance writer, and has the pleasure of writing useful things that high school and college students do read.

Rockler-Gladen is the feature writer for the Campus Life section of Suite101.com, where she writes about study skills, college life, and issues of interest to incoming and current college students. She also is the author of an upcoming guidebook about college majors, due for publication with SparkNotes Publishing later in 2008. She lives just outside of Minneapolis with her husband, toddler daughter, and two snuggly cats.
