High School Student Falls from Michigan State University Building
One high school student was injured after she plunged six floors from Michigan State University’s student lounge. The 18-year old was trying to catch a ball when the glass broke behind her, and she fell through the window.
A sober Alexandra Pew fell from North Case Hall around 3 a.m. on Sunday. She landed on a patch of grass, which had soft soil due to previous rain. This aided in breaking Pew’s fall.
She is listed in stable but serious condition. Sparrow Hospital spokesman, John Foren, said that Pew is expected to make a full recovery.
Peter Fayroian, spokesman for Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, where Pew is finishing high school, said that she had broken bones and “all of the injuries you would expect her to have from such a fall.”
