Kirstie Alley is an American actress whose first claim to fame was her role in the television show, Cheers. She starred in several movies after the show left the airwaves, including Look Who’s Talking, and then virtually disappeared from the public eye until 2010 when she created her own reality show, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life. Kirstie had gained quite a bit of weight and the show followed her weight loss journey after her Jenny Craig campaign. Kirstie was born on January 12, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. Her parents are Lillian and Robert Alley, and she has two siblings, Coletter and Craig. Kirstie grew up in Wichita and attended Wichita Southeast High School. During high school, Kirstie was a cheerleader. She graduated high school in 1969 and then attended college at Kansas State University.
After college, Kirstie moved to Los Angeles with dreams of working as an interior designer. When she was in LA, she appeared on the popular game show, Match Game, and won several games. She then appeared on another game show, Password Plus, in 1980.
