Children of Deceased Veterans Scholarship

Description
Annual award for New Mexico residents, between the ages of 16 & 26, who are children of a deceased U.S. Armed Forces member who was killed in action or died as the result of serving during an armed conflict OR children of deceased members of the New Mexico National Guard who were killed while on active duty OR children of State Police Officers killed while on active duty. Selections are determined by the New Mexico Veterans' Service Commission and are based on financial need and merit. Eligible applicants must be nominated by either the NM Veterans' Service Commission (deceased U.S. Armed Forces) or Adjutant General of the state (National Guard). Due date, number of awards and award amount varies.
