Friends of the National Zoo-Summer Zoo Animal Pathology Traineeship - Veterinary Scholarships

Description
Annual traineeship at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. in the Department of Pathology for students who have completed their second year of Veterinary studies with an emphasis in zoological medicine. This 12 week appointment includes performing complete post-mortem examinations, performing a thorough gross necropsy, preparing pathology reports, review of histopathology with staff pathologist, entering case information, daily clinical rounds, and a research project. Recipient must provide proof of vaccination against rabies and have a TB test within six months of appointment. Traineeships are available from mid May through mid September. Nonrenewable.
