Annual internships for undergraduate students attending postsecondary institutions belonging to the Great Lakes Colleges Association, Inc. or the Associated Colleges Midwest who are interested in research in a broad range of science and engineering activities related to basic sciences, energy, and the environment. Applicants must be majoring in Computer Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Marine Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Medical Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences or related scientific disciplines. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Internship would run for 16 weeks beginning in the fall (late August thru mid-December). Recipient would receive a weekly stipend; limited travel reimbursement, housing, academic credit offered for combination of research and coursework. Due date, number of awards and award amount varies.
