Jerry Medforth Nursing Scholarship

Description
Annual award for Calhoun County, Alabama residents who are graduating high school seniors that plan to pursue full-time postsecondary education at Jacksonville State University Lurleen B. Wallace College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) to participate in the RN to BSN Strategic Teaching for Enhanced Professional Preparation (STEP) Program. Preference will be given to students accepted into the upper division of the CNHS program who possess strong adademic ability, strong moral character, recognized school and community service, financial need, and have a discernible commitment to the nursing profession. Candidate must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. If quaified candidate is not identified from the STEP Program, the award will be made to an applicant from the BSN Program. Due date is June 1st for the fall, and March 1st for Marathon J.
