John Cornelius Memorial Scholarship

Description
Annual award for students who are survivors, dependents, or under the Legal Guardianship of a U.S. Marine Tanker (active duty, reserve, retired, or honorably discharged) who served in a Marine Tank Unit or a Marine or a Navy Corpsman who personally qualifies in the foregoing. Applicant must be a member of Marine Corps Tankers Association (MCTA) or be willing to join. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a high school graduate or college undergraduate/graduate student, or may have attended college previously. Applicant must submit sponsor's pertinent information to establish eligibility and MCTA membership, applicant's academic transcripts, photo, any high school activities/achievements, church and/or community activities, personal essay, and two letters of recommendation. Financial need, GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores, and class rank are considered, but there are no minimum requirements.
