Journalism Scholarship

Description
Annual awards for students of Hispanic descent who are graduating high school seniors that plan to pursue postsecondary education at an accredited college or university to study the field of Journalism. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Candidate must submit 4 typed copies of an original creative writing piece OR 4 copies of an original published article OR 4 copies of writing done as part of a journalism assignment. Students of Broadcast Journalism may submit 4 VHS copies of a video that either features the applicant or was produced by the applicant (no longer than 2 minutes). Recipient must be willing to travel to the Award Region Ceremony. Number of awards varies.
