Past Department President's Junior Scholarship Award

Description
Annual awards for children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren of a veteran, who are graduating high school seniors, have a current junior membership in the American Legion, and will be attending college upon graduation. Student or veteran must be a California resident. Applicant must have held a junior membership for three consecutive years and the veteran must have served during specified times (check listing on granting agency's website). Consideration given to student's scholastic merit, participation in the American Legion, service/volunteerism within community, career goals, and reference letters. Award is non-renewable. Applications must be turned into local unit.
