Annual awards for students who seek baccalaureate or graduate degrees full-time at an accredited public or non-profit four-year college or university to study Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement in a state participating in the Police Corps (see website for list). Students attending community college are eligible once they transfer to a four-year school. Applicant must agree to serve where needed on community patrol for at least four years. Candidates must possess necessary mental and physical capabilities and moral characteristics to be an effective officer, meeting the admission standards of the state Police Corps. Participants complete a rigorous 16 to 24 weeks residential Police Corps training program. Due date and number of awards varies.
