Science, Mathematics & Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship

Description
Annual awards for full-time college junior, seniors and graduate students attending an accredited U.S. educational institution pursuing studies in a Science, Mathematics or Engineering field. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years of age, be near the end of their studies, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA in the major course of study. Selection is based on academic records, personal statements, recommendations, and graduate record examination scores. Recipients must sign an employment obligation with the Department of Defense, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, and must summer intern with a Department of Defense agency. Due date and number of awards may vary.
