Stephen H. Gayle Memorial Essay Contest (Residency) - African Scholarships

Description
Annual awards for students of African descent who are residents of New York City, Long Island or Westchester County, New York and are undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a Journalism program. An essay, and writing samples must be included with application packet. Entries are judged on originality, creativity, style, grammar, accuracy, organization, thoroughness of reporting and depth of understanding of issues.
