Summer Student Fellowship Program

Description
Annual awards for college juniors or seniors majoring in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics with an interest in Ocean Sciences, Oceanographic Engineering or Marine Policy. Fellowships are offered for the following fields: Applied Ocean Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Geo-physics, Mathematics, Meteorology, Physics, Biology, Oceanography, or Marine Policy. Awards are in the form of a summer fellowship tenable at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). Each fellowship pursues a 10-12 week independent research project under the guidance of a member of the WHOI Research Department. Submit 3 letters of recommendation, college transcripts/records, and a statement of the applicant's research interests with application packet. Number of awards may vary.
