Texas Black Baptist Scholarship Program

Description
Annual awards for African-American students who are Texas residents pursuing postsecondary studies at one of the following: Baylor University, Waco, Dallas Baptist University, Dallas, East Texas Baptist University, Abilene, Houston Baptist University, Houston, Howard Payne University, Brownwood, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Belton, Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, or Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth. Students must have a minimum "B" average in high school and minimum 2.0 GPA in college, have financial need, and be members in good standing, of a Baptist Church. Applicants must have an acceptable recommendation from his/her pastor, teachers, advisors, employer, etc. and be willing to serve as an intern for any Baptist General Convention of Texas affiliated entity. Finalists may need to attend an interview. Due date and number of awards may vary. A photograph must be included with application packet.
