Lincoln College of New England was founded in 1966. Lincoln College of New England offers numerous degree programs, all with the goal of preparing the student for a successful career after graduation. Class sizes are small with only about 12 students per class. Classes are taught by professors who are active professionals in the fields they teach. Due to this, students often graduate with a wide reference network that they gained through personal interaction with their professors.

Lincoln College of New England is very sensitive to the trend of the increasing cost of education. To combat this trend, Lincoln College of New England offers many scholarships and financial aid. Lincoln College of New England is also sensitive to the needs of non-traditional students who desire to further their educations. Lincoln College of New England offers day and evening classes, summer and weekend classes, and an accelerated option for students who want to earn their degree quickly.

Prior to 2010, Lincoln College of New England was known as Briarwood College.

Lincoln College of New England is located in Southington, CT, about 20 miles from Hartford, CT.


Lincoln College of New England usually has more than 600 students, both traditional and non-tradtional, enrolled at any time. Almost half of all students commute to school; the other half live on campus. College-wide events are held on a regular basis to encourage networking opportunities and build a sense of community. The faculty and staff take a personal interest in the lives of their students and offer mentoring and tutoring to those who need it.
