Quinnipiac University is a higher learning institution with two locations currently in Hamden and North Haven, Connecticut. Quinnipiac University offers a traditional campus for students looking for that all-American college experience. Perspective students can choose to enroll in classes full-time or the part-time option for working adults, depending on their current needs. There are also graduate level classes for students that have already obtained their undergraduate degree. While attending Quinnipiac University, students can choose from 52 major fields of study in undergraduate degrees and 20 major fields of study at the graduate level.

The university name – Quinnipiac is said to have a couple of meanings. One meaning of the word Quinnipiac is long-water land or country. Another meaning would be to make a change in the direction of travel. Quinnipiac University embraces both meanings because the school is located close to a river, and it offers students a turning point in their life.

Academia seems to be a strong point for Quinnipiac University, as the school boasts strong programs in the major fields of physical therapy, journalism, physician assistant and it also has a prominent school of law. There is also the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute which regularly surveys residents nationwide about political issues and concerns of the general public. Quinnipiac offers an abundant amount of student services and activities that students can get involved in while attending classes. Quinnipiac University is also a part of the Northeast Conference within the NCAA for college sports.
