For students who are struggling to meet the financial demands of college, you should consider applying for a corporate scholarship. Most large companies and many smaller companies have scholarship programs in place, to give back to the communities and people they serve.

The criteria varies by company, but often the scholarship offered is for students studying a related field. For instance, an engineering firm may only offer scholarships to students with an engineering degree.

One perk for employees is that the scholarships are often available only to employee dependents, allowing them to send their children to college with a reduced financial burden.

This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

AFLAC
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees who are enrolled full-time at Columbus State University.

AMTRAK
This is an employee-depending scholarship, awarded to male children of male employees of Amtrak, Conrail or Penn Central.

CARGILL
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

COCA-COLA
Awards available for children of full-time Coca-Cola employees; one award available for employee-dependents attending the University of Arkansas.

CONOCO PHILLIPS
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

DUNKIN DONUTS
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time corporate employees or franchise owners for Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin-Robbins or Togo’s attending a post-secondary institution.

EXXON
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

GOODYEAR
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending the University of Akron.

HANES
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

KMART
Available to graduating high school seniors employed by KMart majoring in marketing, business or marketing education. Must be a DECA member.

LOCKHEED MARTIN
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

MCDONALD’S
There are several awards available from McDonald’s with varying criteria.

NASA
Scholarships awarded to the daughters or granddaughters of female NASA employees, majoring in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.

NESTLE
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution, studying for the restaurant industry.

PAPA JOHN’S
A couple of scholarship opportunities are available; one for graduating high school seniors employed by Papa John’s, the other for undergrad students designated as Papa John’s Scholars.

PHILIPS
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

SEARS
Available to graduating high school seniors employed by Sears majoring in marketing, business or marketing education. Must be a DECA member.

THOMASVILLE
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

TYSON
Awarded to employees or their dependents who enroll full-time at Elizabethtown College.

VERIZON
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

WALT DISNEY
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

WHIRLPOOL
This is an employee-dependent scholarship, awarded to children of full-time employees attending a post-secondary institution.

YMCA
There are several awards available from McDonald’s with varying criteria.
