Adam Sandler's Education Background

Adam Sandler is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, musician, and film producer who was born on September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. Sandler is the son of Judy and Stanley Sandler. His mother is a nursery school teacher and his father is an electrical engineer. EDUinReview will now take a look at this hilarious actor’s education background.

Sandler was born in Brooklyn, but when he was five-years old, his family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire. Sandler attended Manchester Central High School, which is when he first discovered his comedic talent. When Sandler was 17, heĀ  performed at a Boston comedy club as an impromptu decision. It was his first step to becoming a stand-up comedian.

He continued to practice and improve his comedic skills after he graduated high school and moved back to New York to attend New York University. While at NYU, Sandler was a regular performer at clubs and on campus. He graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts in 1988 with a fine arts degree.

After completing his bachelor’s degree, Sandler dedicated himself to his work. His first staring roll was in Going Overboard, which was released in 1989. He was hired by Saturday Night Live in 1990 as a writer and started appearing on the show the next year. However, he first cemented his status as a comedic star when he played the lead roll in Billy Madison in 1995. He also stared in Bulletproof, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, and The Waterboy in the second half of the 1990s.

Sandler has starred in 22 films to date, according to his website. Some of his more famous films include Anger Management, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Funny People, and Grown Ups. His next film to be released is Just Go with It, in which he costars with Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman.
