Celine Dion’s Education Background
Celine Marie Claudette Dion was born on March 30, 1968. She was raised in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada. Dion is the youngest daughter of Adhemar and Therese Tanguay Dion. Dion’s parents owned a small piano bar called Le Vieux Baril. Dion is the youngest of fourteen children.
Dion’s career began very early. She grew up singing in her parent’s piano bar. Dion composed and recorded her first song at age twelve. That song was received by music manager, Rene Angelil.
Angelil’s belief in the young Dion’s talent lead him to mortgage his home in order to fund her first album. In 1981, Dion released La voix du bon Dieu (“The Voice of the Good God”). The young singer’s record became a local number one hit and made Dion an instant star in Quebec.
