Landon Donovan’s Educational Background

Landon DonovanLandon Timothy Donovan was born on March 4, 1982, in Ontario, California, to Donna Kenney-Cash who was a special education teacher, and Tim Donovan a semi-professional ice hockey player.

He attended Redlands East Valley High School in California where he took three years of Spanish to aid in his sports communication for future professional travels.

In 1997, Donovan was accepted into U.S. Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development Program and then in 1999, he attended the prestigious IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The program is a notable affiliation of United State’s soccer training program. US Stuns Slovenia in World Cup

There were no fluke goals for the US in their World Cup match against Slovenia today, no lucky bounces to bail out a struggling team that, once again, found itself trailing early.

Instead, there was a comeback of grit, determination and a couple of wicked shots from Landon Donovan and Michael Bradley that turned a two-goal halftime deficit into a 2-2 tie in what was a tournament-saving half for the Americans.

And this time, instead of being on the good side of fate, the US may have been robbed.
