is a new website that allows students who have studied abroad with various companies provide their honest reviews of the companies they studied with and the locations where they studied. This honesty allows other students to understand what studying abroad with various companies is really like, instead of propaganda-filled reviews that can be misleading.

Each program on Abroad101.com is evaluated on academics, safety, health care, food, housing, cost, culture, language, administration, and overall experience. This allows you to get a thorough understanding of the program on some of the most important aspects of a study abroad program. Reviewers can also write their opinions and assessments of the program, which further allows you to learn about the program.

iHomework Helps Students Keep Track of Assignments

Homework AppThe iPad version of iHomework is already on our list of the best iPad apps for college students, and we’re exited that’s it’s now available for download onto any Mac in the new Mac App Store. The new version allows you to sync with the app on your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad, so that no matter where you are, you’ll have all the info you need to keep on top of your school work.

You can use iHomework to organize nearly every aspect of your academic life. You can track assignments, books and reading, and teacher information. IHomework also can be integrated with iCal to keep track of events, tests and assignment due dates. There’s space to mark the locations and times of classes, put you can set up reminders.

An Education Movie Review

an education“An Education” is a 2009 coming-of-age British film that made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival last year and received critical acclaim. The movie stars actors Emma Thompson, Peter Sarsgaard and Carey Mulligan, who was a nominee in the Best Actress category of the Academy Awards this past year.

I had a chance to recently watch “An Education.” What follows is my own review of this autobiographical memoir written by British author, Lynn Barber.

Like most high school seniors, the driving force behind all of Jenny Mellor’s actions is the dream of being accepted to her dream college: The University of Oxford. Jenny excels in all of her subjects, except Latin. Her father puts a lot of pressure on her to improve her Latin skills and earn a higher education so that she will do better than he did.
