Model Kate Moss Black and WhiteKate Moss was born on January 16,  1974 in Addiscombe, Croydon, London. Her parents are Peter Edward Moss, a travel agent, and Linda Rosina (Shepherd), a barmaid. Moss has a younger brother named Nick and a half-sister and half-brother. Moss’ parents divorced when she was thirteen years old.

Moss attended Ridgeway Primary School and Riddlesdown High School in Purley. She joined the Labour Party at age sixteen and campaigned against Conservatism in her local area.

When Moss was fourteen she was discovered by the founder of Storm Model Management, at JFK Airport in New York City. One of Moss’ first notable works was when she was sixteen. Moss appeared in the British magazine The Face. In the 1990s Moss became known for her unique look. Her look was opposite of the supermodels of the day. Models such as Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell, were known for their curvaceous and tall figures. Moss brought in the era of the “heroin chic” look in 1993.

Gisele Bundchen’s Education Background

Model Gisele BundchenGisele Caroline Bündchen was born July 20, 1980. She was born in the Brazilian town of Três de Maio and grew up in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul. She is the daughter of university teacher and writer, Valdir Bündchen and bank clerk pensioner, Vânia Nonnenmacher. Bündchen has five sisters named Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and her fraternal twin Patrícia.

In 1993 Bündchen began a modeling course at the age of thirteen. A few years later Bündchen was discovered by a modeling agency while she was eating at a McDonalds with her friends. Bündchen moved to New York in 1996 to begin her modeling career. She debuted at that year’s Fashion Week. Bündchen appeared on Vogue’s cover three times in 1999. Bündchen was also named VH1/Vogue Model of the year for 1999.

Petra Nemcova’s Education Background

Petra Nemcova is a Czech model, author, philanthropist, and television host. She is also the founder of the Happy Hearts Fund, a non-profit organization that aims to improve children’s lives in disaster areas. Recently, it was announced that Petra will be competing in the next season of Dancing with the Stars. EDUinReview will now take a look at her background.

Petra was born in the Czech Republic on June 24, 1979 and she grew up in Karvina. She speaks six languages: Czech, Slovak, Polish, English, French, and Italian.

Petra was approached by Next Model Management on the streets of Prague. After she signed with the modeling agency, she moved to Milan, where her career as a model took off. She work for campaigns for Benetton, Pantene Pro-V, Victoria’s Secret, and many more. In 2004, she appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, as well as in the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 editions of the magazine.
