NBC concluded their travel around the country renovating America’s schools for their first season of the hit show School Pride at Hollenbeck Middle School in Los Angeles, California.

Comparable to previous episodes, Former Miss USA and Designer Susie Castillo, Comedian Kim Whitley, Political Journalist Jacob Soboroff and Team Leader and Voice Over Host Tom Stroup come together to spearhead the restoration project of the school.

TBS Premieres Glory Daze Tonight, a New Show About Greek Life

Tonight, November 16, 2010, a new comedy-drama series is set to premiere on TBS, called Glory Daze.

Starring Matt Bush, Drew Seeley, Hartley Sawyer, Kelly Blatz, Callard Harris, Julianna Guill and Tim Meadows this hour long show centers around college freshmen who pledged their fraternities and sororities in 1986.

Created by Walt Becker (Van Wilder) and Michael LeSieur, the show takes place at Hayes University in Indiana.

NBC’s School Pride Renovates Kingston Springs Elementary in Tennessee

NBC continues to travel around the country renovating America’s schools on their hit show School Pride. This week, the team headed to Tennessee to save Kingston Springs Elementary.

Comparable to previous episodes, Former Miss USA and Designer Susie Castillo, Comedian Kim Whitley, Political Journalist Jacob Soboroff and Team Leader and Voice Over Host Tom Stroup, come together to spearhead the restoration project of the school.

Renovated from July 22-July 28, 2010, the Kindergarten through 4th grade public elementary school closed in early May of this year due to flood water damage. The damage was that of a natural disaster, so the NBC team had to call in environmental specialists to clean up the property and school building first. Read the rest of this entry »

5 Things You Don’t Need to Bring to College

moving inIf you haven’t packed for college yet, you’re probably stressing over what to bring and what not to bring. Truth is, you probably won’t need to bring half of the stuff that you thought you would. Read through this list and exclude these items so you don’t stuff your already cramped dorm with unnecessary stuff:

High school notes: Sure these notes probably helped you pass geometry, but they’re no match for calculus. You’ll have plenty of time to fill out that empty spiral notebook with new math equations.
