Description
Annual internships at the National Zoological Park, Washington D.C. for current undergraduate students or recent graduates whose major is in English, Journalism, Bioloby, Science Writing, or related fields. Applicant should have excellent writing skills, strong research skills, desktop publishing and related computer skills, initiative and motivation to seek new learning opportunities, public relations experience or abilities, flexibility, and a good sense of humor. Interns will be expected to participate in all areas of the workings of the office. The internship is for 30-40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Stipend is for $2,400 and does not include transportation or housing. Due date are: Summer-March 15th (May thru June); Fall-June 30th (August thru September); and Winter-September 15th (starts in January). Nonrenewable.
