Illinois Future Teacher Corps (IFTC) Program

Annual awards for Illinois residents who are undergraduate/graduate students enrolled at least half-time at a junior college level or above at an ISAC-approved institution, and are seeking first-time teacher certification. Student must be a U.S. citizen/eligible non-citizen, file an FAFSA, meet academic standards, and have financial need. Preference will be given to students pursuing a teacher shortage discipline, minority students, or a student making a commitment to teach in a hard to staff school. Recipient must agree to teach at a public preschool, elementary or secondary level in an Illlinois school and must fulfill teaching agreement or repay scholarship as a loan,(+interest).
