Annual awards for North Carolina residents who are graduate students entering library school for the first time, currently enrolled in library school, or are practicing librarians seeking continuing education. Students must hold an undergraduate degree, be residents of North Carolina for a minimum of two years, and be accepted by a library school. Consideration given to academic excellence, potential for leadership and/or commitment to service, evidence of commitment to a career in librarianship in North Carolina, and financial need. Number of awards may vary. An essay must be included with application packet.
