Annual awards for high school seniors whose parent served or is serving in the U.S. Armed Forces during one of the eligible periods listed on American Legion Auxiliary's website. Requirements considered are character, Americanism, leadership, financial need, and academics. Submit four letters of recommendation, an essay, transcript, verification of community service, a letter verifying fifty (50) hours of voluntary service, a brief statement of the military service of parent, and ACT or SAT scores with application packet. The American Legion Auxiliary is divided into five divisions and three scholarships per division will be awarded. The three awards given are $2,500, $2,000, and $1,000 per division.
