Description
Annual awards for Navajo Nation legally enrolled members who are undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited postsecondary institution. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be at least one-fourth Indian Blood quantum of their Certificate of Indian Blood. Due dates are November 25th for the spring semester, April 25th for the summer semester, and June 25th for the fall semester. Preference given to fluent Navajo language speakers wanting to teach on the Navajo Nation, paraprofessionals and/or head start staff in the educational systems. Priority given to veterans of the military service and/or physically disabled students. Number of awards and award amount may vary. A certificate of Indian blood must be included with application packet.
