Description
Annual award for an African-American Philadelphia resident who plans to study journalism. Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Student should submit a sample of their writing (story published in a school or other newspaper, an essay for a class or other sample of your work). Student must also submit an essay on why they are pursuing a journalism career. College students must write a critique of The Tribune or their local newspaper. Submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher or supervisor with application packet.
