Description
Annual awards for residents of selected counties in eastern Idaho, the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas or the San Joaquin Valley and coastal areas of California who are FFA members, from a production agriculture family (at least 50% of the income), and are graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates enrolling/enrolled at a two or four year college/university pursuing studies in Agribusiness. Student must be a U.S. citizen. Selected counties in CALIFORNIA are Fresno, Kern, Monterey, San Benito, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, and San Luis Obispo; IDAHO counties are Bannock, Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Cassia, Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, Madison, Minidoka, Oneida, Power, and Teton; TEXAS counties are Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy. Criteria used for selection includes student's GPA, ACT or SAT scores, class rank, leadership in FFA activities, leadership in community activities, and involvement in the Supervised Agricultural Experience Program (SAE).
