Annual awards for UNDERGRADUATE and GRADUATE students attending a college or university in one of the following Southern California areas: San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Santa Barbara. Applicants must be studying a Satellite Related area of Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Science, Engineering, Space Applications, Business, Law, International Policy Studies, or Communications. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, commitment to pursue a satellite communications education and career, potential for contribution to the industry, a creative research submission, and personal statement. In addition to application, students must submit a personal statement of 500-750 words, creative work that reflects student's interests, talents or research areas, two letters of recommendation, transcripts, and two stamped, self-addressed envelopes.
