Annual awards for undergraduate and graduate students who are children of current and former foreign correspondents who have worked for a bona fide news organization in print or broadcast media. Applicants, who are children of U.S. citizens, majoring in Journalism/Mass Communications are given highest priority. Liberal arts majors with a minor in Journalism/Mass Communications are given second priority as well as children of non-U.S. citizens working for American news organizations. Submit employment record of parent, financial statement, academic transcripts, SAT/ACT and/or GRE scores, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement with application packet. Renewable; must reapply. Number of awards varies.
