Annual awards for West Virginia residents who are college juniors, seniors, or graduate students enrolled full-time at a postsecondary institution in West Virginia majoring in Education. Students must have a minimum 3.25 GPA after completing two years of college credits; graduate students must have ranked in the top 10 percent of the college/university graduating class or have a minimum 3.5 GPA. This is a forgiveable loan; students must agree to teach two years in West Virginia for each year of award OR entering a teacher shortage area, an exceptional children's program, a school having less than average academic results, or a school in economically disadvantaged area. Number of awards may vary.
