The Academy of Massage Therapy has been helping students of massage therapy realize their dreams of becoming professional massage therapists since 1990. The two locations in New Jersey provide the necessary credit hours required for massage certification.

Since educational backgrounds and learning skills differ from person to person, they’ve developed a curriculum that accommodates kinesthetic, auditory and visual learners. The supportive staff and faculty help and encourage all with a desire to learn and achieve. The school’s mission is to provide comprehensive training in massage therapy in a supportive atmosphere, so that graduates will gain the financial independence, professional status and self-esteem that this career provides.

AMT was the first massage school in New Jersey to be accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. They are now accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Their graduates qualify to sit for the National Certification Exam. Many graduates also use their education to apply for licenses in New York, Hawaii, New Mexico, Connecticut, Maryland and Florida, since their standards meet or exceed most states’ standards. AMT programs also satisfy the educational requirements for the newly enacted New Jersey state massage therapist license.
