For some people going to a large college just is not for them. The crowds of students, traffic and over all hectic lifestyle doesn’t suit everybody. Ashford University is a higher learning institute located in Clinton, Iowa, where wholesome Midwest values reign king. Ashford University was founded in 1918 by Sisters of St. Francis and named St. Clare College. In 2005 it was acquired by Bridgeport Education Inc. and renamed Ashford University. Ashford University is a small liberal arts college.
Learning is very “hands on” at Ashford. The student to faculty ratio is 12 to 1. There are 26 full-time faculty members and 26 part-time faculty members. All of the students and teachers know one another by name. No one is a stranger at Ashford which is a very nice feeling.
There are 25 undergraduate programs as well as two Masters Programs, Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Organizational Management. Ashford also has Associate and Bachelors Online Degree programs. Financial Aid is also available to all students. Accreditation depends on the degree program, but for the most part is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission. Credits may not transfer to traditional colleges. CONCLUSION
