Free College Scholarships

Enter to win $10,000 toward your education..

BACKGROUND
Free College Scholarships runs a sweepstakes four to six times per year that nets the current, or prospective, college student an attractive $10,000 toward college expenses. They can do this because they have partnered with a number of colleges. The entrant will be asked to view the offerings from their partner institutions, prior to their entry being validated. The strategy seems to work. The winner’s list dates back to 2005, and each year the number of awards has increased.

PRO

– A simplified way to obtain additional funds for education
– Thorough presentations from prospective colleges
– Provides information for student loans

CON
– There is no way to set preferences for the types of programs you are considering

DEGREE PROGRAMS
All degrees are presented, depending upon what the learning institution has to offer.

SCHOOLS
There is not a specific list of schools outside of those you will view if you enter the sweepstakes.  However, there is a link to Get Your Degree when you click, “Find Schools.”

CONCLUSION
Adults play the lottery. Why shouldn’t students enter a sweepstakes for college money? To do so is not overly time-consuming and, in many cases, the information provided by the site can open doors to an institute of higher learning they might not previously have considered.

COMMON MISSPELLINGS

To be honest- these kind of scholarships should not be relied on- because what are the chances of people getting in? one in a million. Ive tried these kind of things, its just not worth it.

Agree – kinda like the lottery for students but if it hits it’s worth it. Hit with some junk email but I just put a filter on it. No problem.

I’m unemployed with a disability and need a new job skill so I hope this “service” isn’t a scam.
