Fun Date Party Ideas for the New School Year

If you are in a sorority or fraternity, then I bet there is one thing that you have sorely been missing this summer and can’t wait for school to start again so you can have it. What could I be talking about? Date parties!

If you are new to the Greek Life and haven’t got a clue what a date party is, let me fill you in. Date parties are usually themed parties hosted by a fraternity or sorority. Members of the fraternity of sorority get to a bring a date to these parties and the couples usually dress up according to the theme.

6 Ways to Have the Best Time in College

Those four years fly by fast, and college is a time in your life where you’ll have the least responsibility with the most independence. The best way to utilize that time is to have as much fun as possible. Additionally, you should learn as much as you can both inside and outside of the classroom. Take an actual interest in your classes, try new things and meet new people.

6 Ways to Have Cheap Summer Fun

Is summer sucking the cash right out of your checking account? It’s easy to spend money we don’t have during the summer. Not to fear. You can have your cake and eat it too with this list. Below are six money-saving ways to have the same amount of fun with less cash.

The movies: Go to a second-run theater. Ticket prices are less than half of new-release ones, and they provide the same experience. Eat dinner before, so you can skip the refreshments.

The pool: Forget those overly-priced water parks. You’ll be standing in line forever to ride your favorite slide, anyways. Make nice with the neighbors that have a swimming pool and go for a dip for free.

Last night, my friends and I vowed to make this year our best yet. We decided to make sure we have done everything college-y  that we could think of. Here are some of our ideas for things to make sure we do before graduation – and it’s a pretty good list for all college seniors, if I do say so myself.

1. Buy a school jersey/shirt. Okay, so I already have about 200 school shirts. However, most of my shirts are stained or torn from years of love and football tailgate parties. I plan on buying a football jersey to wear on future game days. Also, it’ll be nice to have a shirt to wear after graduation that supports my alma matter and doesn’t have holes in it.
